Enzo Our Wonder Cat

We adopted a cat while living in Canada last year. We had wanted to get an animal for our home and with the mice population being quite high in Esperanza we thought a cat was a wonderful idea. And he did prove his worth in that department...I just wish he had chosen to leave them somewhere other than our front step.

When we were finally on our way home to Arizona we truly wondered how well our new family member would adapt to a different way of life. And could he travel in our vehicle without vomiting or crying? Thankfully he could. Though there may be a few more marks on the dashboard from him trying to leap onto the dash and missing. Poor Kelly.

He is a happily adjusted cat now who loves sleeping on our bed, sleeping on our (sorry his) red chair, and playing outside in the dirt. Lately though I have been growing concerned with his lack of cat like skills. We have recently put a bird feeder up in our tree which I thought would be a great joy for our cat. And let me tell you the birds have come! But instead of our cat being diligent in chasing them away I seem to see him scurrying away from them as they chirp and fly at him.

Thoughts on Renovations

My how time flies when you are not having fun:) I must admit that I am probably the worst person to have gone through a major renovation overhaul. I was moody, upset and depressed through most of it. I did not do too much for the past few months except find ways to get out of the house. Shopping seemed to be my favourite reason. But now our house is done and though I hopefully will never renovate again (never say never) I must look at all that was accomplished and contemplate on what God has taught me through these times.

Oh and one more thing. I still love my husband even though there were times he might have wondered. But pregnancy and renovations don't mix well in my books.

Take a look at our progression of house to home.
